In 2005 I founded the Centre for Research into Online Communities and E-Learning Systems to provide a strategic identity and vehicle for my development as a researcher to gain entry to a doctoral programme, by proving my competencies in research.
While a Research Associate at Kingston Business School, I developed a number of research outputs, including new economic models relating to online community economics such as opportunity cost, strategic fit, and division of labour.
In 2009 I left Kingston and commenced an Economic and Social Research Council accredited course at Aberystwyth University, leading to an MScEcon in Information Systems in 2011.
In 2009 I also became an Academic Associate at Cardiff School of Management (CSM) and within months of joining I had enrolled on a Doctor of Information Systems degree, which I am currently completing an investigation into modelling consumer psychology to make information systems more persuasive and more effective at promoting equality and integration into the economy of all people. In 2011 I was appointed an Associate Tutor at CSM, my first paid teaching role, where my rapidly developing communication skills are necessary.
